Nancy O'Dell Biography

Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She later worked as morning news anchor and crime reporter at WCBD-TV. While in Charleston, O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in state authorities re-issuing a more stringent directive regarding these cases.

Nancy served as the co-anchor of "Access Hollywood" for thirteen years. She was recently tapped by Oprah and Mark Burnett Productions to host one of OWN network's premiere primetime shows entitled "Your Own Show" which launched in January 2011. O'Dell has contributed reports to CBS's The Early Show, NBC News' "Today" show and "Dateline." With 20 years of live television experience, Nancy is a go-to host for live network specials. She recently hosted FOX's New Year's Eve Special ringing in 2011. She was also a special presenter/host on FOX's American Country Awards and served as the voice of the show. O'Dell hosted ABC's 2010 Fall Preview special, the 2010 Emmy Awards coverage for CBS, VH1's 2010 Critic's Choice Awards Live Red Carpet Special, and the 2010 Superbowl Fan Jam Concert Special.
