Ashley Cole Biography

Full name : Ashley Cole
Date of birth : 20 December 1980 (age 30)
Place of birth : Stepney, London, England
Height : 1.76 m (5 ft 9 1⁄2 in)
Profession : Footballer
Playing position : Left Wing-back

Ashley Cole (born 20 December 1980, Whitechapel, London, England) is an English footballer of Barbadian descent. Cole plays left back for Chelsea and for the England national team, a position from which he often uses his strong pace to try and support the forward players.

Cole started his career by joining his local club, Arsenal, whom he had supported as a child. At the age of 18, on 30 November 1999, he made his first team debut in the Worthington Cup against Middlesbrough. On 25 February 2000, he signed his first professional contract. His Premier League debut came on 14 May 2000 against Newcastle United. Before he fully broke into the Arsenal side, he spent part of the 1999–2000 season on loan at Crystal Palace, where he played 14 league matches and scored one goal, a long-range half-volley against Blackburn Rovers. Cole caught a lucky break after an injury to Sylvinho, Arsenal's established left-back, in the autumn of the 2000–01 season gave Cole the opportunity to establish himself in the first team. He remained first-choice in the position even after Sylvinho's recovery.

With Arsenal, he won the FA Premier League twice (in 2002 and 2004), and the FA Cup three times (in 2002, 2003 and 2005, scoring in the penalty shootout in the final of the latter). Although injured for much of the 2005–06 season, he recovered in time to play in Arsenal's UEFA Champions League Final defeat to Barcelona at the end of the season. In total he made 228 first-team appearances for Arsenal, scoring 9 goals.

Cole had a very good season in 2004–05. He was a regular at left-back for both England and Arsenal despite Gaël Clichy's claim for a place in the first team squad. Cole scored his first goal of the season in the seventh game in a tough trip to Manchester City in which he scored the opening and only goal to give Arsenal an important win. He scored his second goal in a 3–1 away win to Aston Villa, scoring Arsenal's third in only the 28th minute. Cole, however, was also involved in a transfer saga with Chelsea. He was found guilty of making contact with league rivals Chelsea over a possible move, without informing Arsenal. He was fined £100,000 by the Premier League on 2 June 2005 for a tapping-up meeting at a hotel in January 2005. Cole, his agent Jonathan Barnett, the Chelsea manager José Mourinho and chief executive Peter Kenyon were present at the meeting. An appeal in August 2005 did not reject the guilty verdict, but his fine was reduced to £75,000. Chelsea were also fined £300,000 and Mourinho was fined £200,000, reduced on appeal in August 2005 to £75,000. Barnett's licence was suspended for 18 months and he was also fined £100,000.

On 18 July 2005, Cole signed a one-year extension to his contract with Arsenal, but just a year later departed from the club in acrimonious circumstances. On 15 July 2006, Cole launched a verbal attack on Arsenal; in his autobiography, quoted in The Sun, he claimed that the Arsenal board had treated him as a "scapegoat" and that they had "fed him to the sharks" over the tapping-up affair while Arsenal, from their part, insisted that they were legally obliged to punish Cole for his illegal contact with Chelsea. Cole was deliberately left out of Arsenal's 2006–07 team photograph, fuelling press speculation that he would leave.

On 28 July 2006, Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein confirmed that Arsenal and Chelsea had been in "civil talks" about the player. Chelsea insisted they would not raise their £16million bid for Cole, but Arsenal held out for at a higher valuation of £25 million. Negotiations continued throughout August and looked to be heading for deadlock, but eventually Cole signed for Chelsea on 31 August for a fee of £5 million, with William Gallas being transferred from Chelsea to Arsenal as part of the same deal. The deal was closed after the transfer window had officially ended, and was not confirmed until an hour and a half after the deadline had passed.

Arsenal had offered Cole a longer contract to stay at the club, but he had been left "trembling with anger" when they offered him £55,000 per week wages, whereas Chelsea were offering him £90,000 a week. His wage increased to £120,000 a week when he signed a new contract in September 2009.

Ashanti Celebrity

Birth Name: Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas
Birth Place: Glen Clove, NY
Date of Birth / Zodiac Sign: 10/13/1980, Libra
Profession: Singer; songwriter; actress

Ashanti Douglas was born in 1980 in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York into a musical family. Her father used to sing and her mother is a dance instructor. Ashanti began to sing in a gospel choir at the age of 6. As she grew, her musical talent developed and with it, appearances followed. She danced in a show at Carnegie Hall and in the Disney television musical Polly. It was in high school that she honed her songwriting skills and harnessed her talent for creating a story that people could relate to, song after song.

Ashanti first announced her presence with the Big Pun hit "How We Roll" in 2001. Her sound was infectious and caught the attention of record producers. Irv Gotti, the polished producer with Murder Inc. Records, was credited with her discovery and what was supposed to be an initial collaboration, turned into a record contract. The demure and feminine Ashanti was hesitant at first to sign with a label named Murder Inc., but she filled a void in the company stable of talent. What was a pure rap label became stronger with the arrival of the R&B singer. The marketing team at Murder Inc. went to work to promote Ashanti in time for her debut release.

In early 2003, Ja Rule and Ashanti teamed up again and scored a massive pop hit with 'Mesmerize', the music video for which parodied the plot of the movie Grease. 50 Cent would later mock Ja Rule as being soft and 'not a true gangsta', citing the 'Mesmerize' video and its pop-culture appeal as an example. Ashanti was not spared from 50 Cent's criticism of the entire Murder Inc. family.

She would later make a special guest appearance in a season 7 episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, First Date.

In the summer of 2003, Ashanti released an album called Chapter II. Its first single, 'Rock Wit U (Awww Baby)' became one of the summer's biggest hits and its steamy video, which showed Ashanti in a bikini frolicking on a beach, was nominated for a 2003 MTV Video Music Award for Best R&B Video. The second single and video, 'Rain On Me', was released in the fall of 2003. Even with the help of a remix version of both the single and video, it was not able to reach 'Rock Wit U''s level of success on either pop or urban radio.

Most recently, in 2004, Ashanti released the third single from Chapter II, 'Breakup 2 Makeup'; its complete lack of video play on any American music video stations, including the cable channels, VH1 Soul and MTV Jams, and almost total lack of American radio airplay had some speculating that Ashanti's career as a superstar pop diva might have run its course. However, R&B newcomer Lloyd has released a duet with Ashanti, 'Southside', as his first single; and it became a hit at American radio, as well as MTV Jams, over the summer of 2004. In January 2005, Ashanti made her feature film acting debut in the movie Coach Carter with Samuel L. Jackson.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Biography

NAME: Arnold Schwarzenegger
OCCUPATION: Film Actor, Governor
BIRTH DATE: July 30, 1947 (Age: 64)
PLACE OF BIRTH: Graz, Austria
ZODIAC SIGN: Leo

Professional bodybuilder, actor, California governor. Born on July 30, 1947, near Graz, Austria. Schwarzenegger first became famous as a bodybuilder. He began strength training in his teens and went on to become a world champion bodybuilder, winning numerous awards for his amazing physique. He won the Mr. Universe title five times and the Mr. Olympia title six times. He immigrated to the United States in the late 1960s.

After acting in a few small parts, Schwarzenegger received a Golden Globe Award for Best Newcomer for his performance in Stay Hungry (1976). He was also featured in Pumping Iron (1977), a bodybuilding documentary. With his intense physical strength and size, Schwarzenegger was a natural for action films. He became a leading figure in several popular 1980s action movies, including Conan the Barbarian (1982). Schwarzenegger also starred as a deadly machine from the future in The Terminator (1984).

The spectacular Total Recall (1990) and "feel good" Kindergarten Cop (1990) were both solid box office performers for Arnold, plus he was about to return to familiar territory with director James Cameron in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). The second time around for the futuristic robot, the production budget had grown from the initial film's $6.5 million to an alleged $100 million for the sequel, and it clearly showed as the stunning sequel bristled with amazing special effects, bone-crunching chases & stunt sequences, plus state of the art computer-generated imagery. Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) was arguably the zenith of Arnold's film career to date and he was voted "International Star of the Decade" by the National Association of Theatre Owners. Remarkably, his next film Last Action Hero (1993) brought Arnold back to Earth with a hard thud as the self-satirizing, but confusing plot line of a young boy entering into a mythical Hollywood action film confused movie fans even more and they stayed away in droves making the film an initial financial disaster. Arnold turned back to good friend, director James Cameron and the chemistry was definitely still there as the "James Bond" style spy thriller True Lies (1994) co-starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Arnold was the surprise hit of 1994!

Following the broad audience appeal of True Lies (1994), Schwarzenegger decided to lean towards more family-themed entertainment with Junior (1994) and Jingle All the Way (1996), but he still found time to satisfy his hard-core fan base with Eraser (1996), as the chilling "Mr. Freeze" in Batman & Robin (1997) and battling dark forces in the supernatural action of End of Days (1999). The science fiction / conspiracy tale The 6th Day (2000) played to only mediocre fan interest, and Collateral Damage (2002) had it's theatrical release held over for nearly a year after the tragic events of Sept 11th 2001, but it still only received a lukewarm reception. It was time again to resurrect Arnold's most successful franchise and, in 2003.

His second term in office did not run as smoothly. Schwarzenegger struggled to help the state through difficult financial times. After leaving office in January 2011, he has sought to revive his career in the entertainment industry. Schwarzenegger announced plans to work with famed comic book creator Stan Lee on a new animated series inspired by his time in office. He will voice a character known as the Governator.

Antonio Banderas Biography

NAME: José Antonio Domínguez Banderas
OCCUPATION: Film Actor, Television Actor, Director
BIRTH DATE: August 10, 1960 (Age: 51)
PLACE OF BIRTH: Málaga, Spain
ZODIAC SIGN: Leo

Actor. Born on August 10, 1960, in Málaga, Spain. Banderas studied drama, eventually moving to Madrid where he performed in plays including Historia de los Tarantos and La hija del aire. There he met Pedro Almoóvar who gave him a small part in the film Laberinto de pasiones (1982) and from then on he worked exclusively with Almodóvar in such films as Matador (1985) and La ley del deseo (1986).

His first bona fide American movie role was in The Mambo Kings (1992), and still speaking no English, he was forced to learn his lines phonetically. To his credit, his performance as a struggling musician was critically praised.

Early in the 1990s, largely due to the international popularity of Almodóvar's films, he began a film career in Hollywood. His real breakthrough to the mainstream American audience came with starring in Philadelphia with Tom Hanks (1993). Banderas played the gay lover of a lawyer with AIDS (Tom Hanks), with a sensitivity that earned him much kudos. His star was shining brightly and the following year he won a role in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles(1994). He was now working with the likes of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Banderas had truly made the grade in Hollywood.

In 2002, Banderas reunited with the cast and crew of "Spy Kids" to film "Spy Kids 2: The Island Of Lost Dreams". In "Spy Kids 2," the Cortez children (Vega and Sabara) set out to save the world from a genetic scientist and rival spy kid, and as expected it was a strong performer at the box office. He was then seen in director Brian de Palma visually arresting noir thriller "Femme Fatale" (2002), which also co-starred Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, a film that drew more than its fair share of negative reviews but was also touted as brilliant cinema in some circles. After a well-received stint on Broadway in "Nine," a musical inspired by Fellini's film "8 1/2" Banderas as a film director in the Fellini mold, the actor next returned to familiar territory for "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over" (2003) and reprised his role as El Maiachi for Rodriguez's successful threequel "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" (2003). Tweaking his image as a sexy, macho swashbuckler, Banderas next provided the pitch-perfect voice of the rapier-wielding Puss-in-Boots for the CGI sequel "Shrek 2" (2004). More serious was his turn in "Imagining Argentina" (2004).

Banderas reprised his role as the titular masked avenger in "The Legend of Zorro" (2005), who becomes pressed to give up his swashbuckling ways and lead a responsible life or lose his wife and child. The long-delayed sequel-released seven years after the original-was a mere shadow of its predecessor, both in terms of thrills and box office dollars. In "Take the Lead" (2006), Banderas tackled the true-life story of ballroom dancer Pierre Dulaine, who volunteered his time to teach a group of inner-city hard cases how to dance. Ridiculed at first, Dulaine eventually wins them over with unwavering commitment and dedication, inspiring the class to fuse classic ballroom dancing with hip-hop and participate in a prestigious city dance competition. Meanwhile, Banderas revived Puss-in-Boots for the continuing adventures of the massive green ogre (Mike Myers) and his motley band of friends in "Shrek the Third" (2007).

Anthony Kiedis Celebrity

NAME: Anthony Kiedis
OCCUPATION: Singer
BIRTH DATE: November 01, 1962 (Age: 49)
EDUCATION: Fairfax High School, University of California Los Angeles
PLACE OF BIRTH: Grand Rapids, Michigan

Singer, actor, writer. Born on November 1, 1962, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As the lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anthony Kiedis has become one of best-known figures in alternative rock. His parents split up when he was very young. He lived with his mother, Peggy, in Michigan and visited his father, John, in California. While with his father, Kiedis was exposed to the Los Angeles club scene where he got a chance to see such rock acts as the Eagles, Neil Young, Deep Purple, and Rod Stewart.

While Kiedis was attending Fairfax High School, he was in numerous bands, but none of them were up for consideration for a real band. It was not until early 1982 when he got together with high school friends Hillel Slovak, Michael Balzary and Jack Irons to play in a club as Tony Flow & The Miraculously Majestic Masters of Mayhem, which would eventually change its name to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band's original line up consisted of the four friends, until Slovak and Irons left the Red Hot Chili Peppers to play with Anthym. Since then, the band has experienced at least twelve different line ups, releasing nine studio albums in the span of 22 years.

Having co-founded the band with Michael Balzary (Flea), he was the band frontman with his good looks and his charisma. Along with Flea, Kiedis has never left the band, although in his 2004 memoir Scar Tissue, he said he was kicked out of the band for a month due to rehabilitation problems. Kiedis is the main songwriter of the group, pounding down nearly all of the lyrics of the band's repitore. All of their songs are credited to Flea-Kiedis-.. with the other band members at the time. Kiedis has said that each band member writes his own part for each song. His songwriting style has varied over the years. From their early roots as a band, Kiedis wrote many lyrics involving sex, drugs, and life in L.A. As his musical tastes expanded and his outlook on life changed, he started to write songs about spirituality, struggles in life and loss of friends, incorporating a larger sense of social realism and thoughtfulness in his lyrics.

Kiedis' singing style has drastically changed over the years. While one cannot simply "learn" to sing, Kiedis has learned to control his vocals more and more with each album. He started being the vocalist of the band by rapping, of which he could do at extreme speeds, keeping a consistent rhythm. Starting from as early as Mother's Milk in 1989, Kiedis would write songs for the band with more melody rather than the basic rythym and beat style of funk and hip-hop, their first song doing this being "Knock Me Down". 1991's Blood Sugar Sex Magik still saw Kiedis rapping, but he started singing his first melodic ballads in songs like "Under the Bridge", "Breaking the Girl" and "I Could Have Lied". Over the years, Kiedis would favour singing rather than rapping. Kiedis said in his memoirs that he got many vocal coaches, but none of them would help him sing "better". In fact, it was not until 1999's Californication when he could take full control of his voice to sing. Many critics and reviewers agree that his voice has greatly improved and might have even reached its height in the Chili Peppers' most recent album Stadium Arcadium. In 2009 the band will be eligible to enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Anthony Hopkins Biography

NAME: Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins, CBE
OCCUPATION: Film Actor, Theater Actor, Television Actor
BIRTH DATE: December 31, 1937 (Age: 73)
EDUCATION: Jones' West Monmouth Boys' School, Cowbridge Grammar School, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff, Royal Academy of Dramatic Art
PLACE OF BIRTH: Port Talbot, Glamorgan, Wales, England

Anthony Hopkins was born on 31 December 1937, in Margam, Wales. Influenced by Richard Burton, he decided to study at College of Music and Drama and graduated in 1957. In 1965, he moved to London and joined the National Theatre, invited by Laurence Olivier, who could see the talent in Hopkins. In 1967, he made his first film for television, A Flea in Her Ear (1967) (TV).

Like his fellow Welshman Richard Burton, Anthony Hopkins left England and a celebrated stage career to enjoy the life of an A-list Hollywood actor. The restless thespian made an auspicious film debut in "The Lion in Winter" (1968), as the scheming Richard the Lionheart, and won Emmys for his TV-movie performances in "The Lindbergh Kidnapping Case" (NBC, 1976), as accused kidnapper Bruno Hauptmann, and "The Bunker" (CBS, 1981), as Adolph Hitler. But it was his Oscar-winning turn as Dr. Hannibal 'The Cannibal' Lecter in "The Silence of the Lambs" (1991) that brought the years of struggle and second-rate parts to an end, elevating him to full-fledged star status. Although Hopkins had won several awards for his 1975 Broadway debut in "Equus," playing a troubled psychiatrist trying to unlock the deep-rooted problems that had led the passionate, disturbed stable boy in his care to blind several horses, it was, ironically, Burton who succeeded Hopkins in the Broadway production and starred in the film version.

In 1992, he starred alongside Emma Thompson and Vanessa Redgrave in Merchant/Ivory’s thrice Oscar winning 'Howard's End', based on the novel by E.M Forster. Hopkins played Henry Wilcox - the film went on to win three Oscars, two BAFTAs and a further 19 other awards. Despite being nominated, Hopkins failed to win any awards, although Emma Thompson won an Oscar and a BAFTA for ‘Best Actress Award’.

Success followed once more in 1993 when Hopkins teamed up with Emma Thompson yet again in 'Remains of the Day', a post WWI love story. He was nominated for Best Actor at the Oscars, Golden Globes and BAFTAs. Not content with just acting, Hopkins took on the role of director with the 1996 film, 'August', which he also starred in. The film’s location was in his native land of Wales.

Later in 2006, Hopkins played Judge Irwin in another political drama, 'All the King’s Men', alongside Sean Penn and fellow English actors, Kate Winslet and Jude Law. Based on the Novel by Robert Penn Warren, set in the Fifties, it tells the story of elected governor Willie Stark.

Hopkins can be seen playing another psychopath in 'Fracture' (2007) opposite up and coming star Ryan Gosling. His character is a man who plays a game of cat-and-mouse with Gosling's assistant DA after being accused of trying to murder his wife.

The first step is to evaluate the importance of each planet. This is what we call identifying the dominant planets. This process obeys rules that depend on the astrologer's sensitivity and experience but it also has precise and steady bases: thus, we can take into account the parameters of a planet's activity (the number of active aspects a planet forms, the importance of each aspect according to its nature and its exactness), angularity parameters; (proximity to the four angles, Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant and Imum Coeli or Nadir, all of them being evaluated numerically, according to the kind of angle and the planet-angle distance) and quality parameters (rulership, exaltation, exile and fall). Finally, other criteria such as the rulership of the Ascendant and the Midheaven etc. are important.

Anouck Lepere, the way you take action is quite paradoxical: you carry out your business perfectly well when you are in a teamwork with collective goals, but you do so in your original and individualistic manner: this is your main peculiarity. Your concern is to express your originality and your specificity while remaining immersed in a human community. You are curt and not very flexible. You are inventive and you easily fight authority, just because its very principle runs counter to the sacred values of freedom, independence and, above all, the absence of constraint. Competition does not appeal to you. You prefer to be useful and to conquer new territories of the humanitarian or the intellectual type. On the sexual plane, you are also often original and surprising regarding your fantasies and your tastes.

Annie Lennox Biography

NAME: Annie Lennox
OCCUPATION: Songwriter
BIRTH DATE: December 25, 1954 (Age: 56)
EDUCATION: Royal Academy of Music in London

Singer, songwriter, composer. Born on December 25, 1954 in Scotland. With an obvious early talent for music, Lennox's parents sent her to the Royal Academy of Music in London to study the flute. While living in London, Lennox met guitarist Dave Stewart and joined a band called The Tourists. The two soon left to form the Eurythmics, which marked the beginning of a ten-year partnership. The duo produced a number of hit singles during the 1980s, including Sweet Dreams, Here Comes the Rain Again and the soul-infused rocker Would I Lie To You.

The Eurythmics quietly disbanded in 1991 when Lennox took time off to have a child, and eventually work on a solo career. In 1992, her first solo album, Diva, was released. Her soulful vocals and mature stylings showed a sophisticated departure from the electronic sounds of the 1980s. Popular singles such as Walking On Broken Glass and the haunting Why established Lennox as a serious solo artist. The album sold over 2 million copies in the U.S., and was nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

1993 Annie won 2 Brit Awards for Best British Album and Best British Female Artist.

1995 Annie's second LP, Medusa, was released in March. The LP was a collection of cover tunes and included the hit "No More 'I Love You's'." Other tracks include Blue Nile's "Downtown Lights," The Temptations' "Can't Get Next To You," Bob Marley's "Waiting In Vain," and Neil Young's "Don't Let It Bring You Down." Annie continued to display her eccentric style in her videos and live musical performances. It's hard to forget Annie's male backup singers in ballet wear or bear suits. Medusa went on to sell over 2 million copies in the U.S. Late in 1995, an LP, Live In Central Park was released to fans in the U.K. and an accompanying video in the U.S.

1996 Annie could be heard at the movies. Annie wrote and sang backup on the Whitney Houston song "Step By Step" used in the film The Preacher's Wife. Other contributions to soundtracks and compilations LPs by Annie include: "Every Time We Say Goodbye" from the Red Hot + Blue compilation LP and video (1990) and "Love Song For A Vampire" from the Dracula soundtrack (1992), as well as House Of Groove (1993), MTV Unplugged Collection, Vol. 1 (1994), and Ain't Nuthin' But A She Thing (1995). Annie's voice can also be heard on a couple of tracks from Apollo 13 ("Dark Side Of The Moon" and "End Titles"). Annie won a Brit Award for Best Female Artist.

1997 Never one to be labeled "status quo," Annie Lennox has achieved a musical style that other artists can only dream of. Recently, Annie has been keeping a low-profile but in 1997 she contributed a track called "Dream Angus" to the Carnival compilation to benefit the rainforests. Annie is also focusing on what she has referred to as her most important role - motherhood.

1999 Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox will be teaming up publicly once again as the Eurythmics in February at the 1999 Brit Awards where they will also receive a lifetime achievement award: Outstanding Contribution to the British Music Industry award.

In 1998, she co-starred as Marion Crane opposite Vince Vaughn in the remake of Psycho. The film got mixed reviews from media and some critics including Edward Guthmann of San Francisco Chronicle stated "Heche is so good, in fact, and so frisky and watchable in her role, that after her grisly demise in the shower you miss her for a long time".

In 1999, she played the skeptical daughter of a woman proposed as a candidate for sainthood in The Third Miracle. Heche wrote and directed the Emmy-nominated HBO movie If These Walls Could Talk 2 (2000). Later that year, she was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award, along with the rest of the creators and cast of If These Walls Could Talk and If These Walls Could Talk 2.

In 2001, Heche released the memoir Call Me Crazy. She appeared in the Denzel Washington thriller John Q and also played Dr. Sterling in the long-delayed adaptation of Elizabeth Wurtzel's bestseller Prozac Nation (2001). She had a recurring role on the hit show Ally McBeal as the eccentric soulmate of John Cage during the 2000–2001 season. Heche starred in the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Proof on Broadway. In 2004, Heche received an Emmy nomination for playing a drug-addicted mother who neglects her children in the Lifetime movie Gracie's Choice (2004). She starred alongside Nicole Kidman in the well-received independent film Birth and also appeared in a recurring role on the WB drama Everwood before returning to Broadway, where she was nominated for a Tony Award for a revival of Twentieth Century, starring opposite Alec Baldwin. She then took on a recurring role on Nip/Tuck in 2005 as an ex-mob wife and Witness Protection Program subject who requires plastic surgery. By the next fall, she was headlining her own primetime show, ABC’s dramedy Men in Trees where she starred as a transplanted New York author living in small town Alaska, which happens to be abundant with single men and few women. Men in Trees was canceled in May 2008, after a season shortened by the writer’s strike. She had the starring role in Spread, a sex comedy co-starring Ashton Kutcher released in 2009, which came out in a limited release and with negative reviews, however, Matthew Turney of View London wrote "There's also terrific support" from Heche.

In 2007, Hathaway took on the daunting role of portraying beloved English novelist Jane Austen in the fictionalized portrait of the author's early years, "Becoming Jane" (2007). But another successful comedy was on the horizon, with Hathaway co-starring opposite Steve Carell in the summer release "Get Smart" (2008).

After more than 15 years of work in mostly forgettable films, the attractive, dark-haired whispery-voiced Anne Archer rejuvenated her career as the sexy and sympathetic wife of Michael Douglas in Adrian Lyne's "Fatal Attraction" (1987), which earned her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination. AnnaSophia Robb Biography

Name : AnnaSophia Robb
Date of Birth : 8 December 1993, Denver, Colorado, USA
Birth Place : Denver, Colorado
Height : 5' 2" (1.57 m)
Occupation : Actress, model

Born on December 8, 1993, AnnaSophia’s first love wasn’t always acting. She competed in dance competitions and gymnastics for 5 years and even won an Irish dancing award when she was seven years old! She quit to focus her full attention on acting but still loves to dance in her spare time. The first time she performed was at age five on the stage of her church in hometown Denver Colorado!

For some actors a career in film seems to be in the cards from the very beginning; such was the case with early bloomer AnnaSophia Robb. The only child of an architect and an interior designer, Robb knew from the age of five that she was destined for a career as an entertainer. A Denver, CO native who never wavered in her determination to succeed, Robb convinced her parents to let her take an acting class before setting out on her first round of L.A. auditions in 2003. It was during this time that her new manager and agent team would help young Robb successfully navigate the Hollywood audition scene, her family living in a modest guest house as her father worked and her mother took Robb to auditions during the daytime hours. By the end of the summer, Robb had attended no less than 42 auditions and had landed her first role as a Bratz-loving Happy Meal fan in a McDonald's commercial.

With a maturity and on-screen presence well beyond her age, teen actress AnnaSophia Robb built up an impressive resume in a very short amount of time - something few other child actors had managed to do. Starring in her first feature film, "Because of Winn-Dixie" (2005), at the age of nine, Robb proved she had a natural on-screen charm. Whether starring in the imaginative family film "Bridge to Terebithia" (2007) or appearing opposite Academy Award-winning actresses Hilary Swank in "The Reaping" (2007), or Charlize Theron in "Sleepwalking" (2008), Robb showed that she could hold her own on the big screen, securing a spot as one of Hollywood's talented young actresses to watch.

Profession: Actress; model

AnnaLynne McCord Relationships:
Angel McCord - Sister
Rachel McCord - Sister
Kellan Lutz - Ex-significant Other
Dominic Purcell - Significant Other

It’s a little shocking that one of TV’s most promising pieces of eye candy was homeschooled in a small town outside of Atlanta and has a pastor for a father. An upbringing like that usually leads to a life of Leave It To Beaver-esque domestic bliss. But AnnaLynne McCord has always walked her own path.

Her first taste of acting came at age nine, when she won a part with her community theater. She loved the spotlight and was a natural on stage. So much so, in fact, that AnnaLynne won her local “Actors, Models and Talent Competition” at 15. First prize was a modeling contract in Miami. Sounds like a tough gig.

She made her screen acting debut at about the same time in the independent horror film The Middle of Nowhere (2002), which, though it was never released to theaters, played at film festivals. A few years later she played a small role in the box office hit Transporter 2 (2005), then began landing guest appearances on popular series such as The O.C., Ugly Betty, Cold Case, Greek and CSI: Miami.

McCord currently stars as Naomi Clark in the CW drama 90210. Well-known for her role as the scandalous and deviant Eden Lord in the award-winning drama Nip/Tuck, McCord has made the transition to the big screen with lead roles in major motion pictures such as The Haunting of Molly Hartley (2008) and Fired Up (2009).

Anna Wintour Biography

NAME: Anna Wintour
OCCUPATION: Editor
BIRTH DATE: November 03, 1949 (Age: 62)
EDUCATION: North London Collegiate School
PLACE OF BIRTH: London, United Kingdom

Magazine editor. Born on November 3, 1949, in London, England, to newspaper editor Charles Wintour and philanthropist Elinor Wintour. Anna Wintour has become an international fashion icon in her role as editor-in-chief of the highly influential Vogue magazine. She is known for her oversized dark glasses, high heels, sharp bob hairstyle, and icy demeanor.

Born into a family with considerable wealth, Wintour demonstrated a tendency to do things her own way at an early age. As a teenager she made the decision to forgo academics, dropping out of her fancy finishing school and opting instead for a life that revolved around the tony London life of the 1960s that she so clearly adored. With her signature hairstyle—she first went to the bob at the age of 15 and has changed it very little since then—Wintour frequented the same London clubs of pop culture's biggest stars, including members of the Beatles and Rolling Stones.

Anna Wintour is the daughter of Charles Wintour, former Editor of the Evening Standard. She started her career in 1970, working in the fashion department at Harpers & Queen in London. Six years later, she joined its sister New York publication Harper's Bazaar as its Fashion Editor. After a stint as Senior Editor at New York magazine, controlling the title's fashion and lifestyle coverage, Wintour was named Creative Director of American Vogue in 1983. British Vogue hired her back as Editor in Chief for two years. In 1988, she rejoined American Vogue as Editor-in-Chief and in that capacity, has helped raise over $10 million for AIDS charities since 1990.

That year was generally difficult, as the economy worsened. After ruffling feathers at Milan's shows in February, the April issue's cover image of LeBron James and Gisele Bündchen brought criticism for its evocation of racial stereotypes. The next month a lavish Karl Lagerfeld gown she wore to the Met's Costume Institute Gala was called "the worst fashion faux pas of 2008."

In 2009, Wintour began making more media appearances. On a 60 Minutes profile, she said she would not retire. "To me this is a really interesting time to be in this position and I think it would be in a way irresponsible not to put my best foot forward and lead us into a different time.

Anna Popplewell Biography

Birth Name : Anna Katherine Popplewell
Height : 5' 3½" (1.61 m)
Date of Birth: December 16, 1988
Birth Place: London, England
Occupation : Actress

Anna Katherine Popplewell was born on December 16, 1988, in London, England, to an immunologist mother and a barrister father. From the age of 6, she attended the Allsorts Drama school, taking, obviously, drama class. Then she moved on to the all-girls North London Collegiate School.

Her first real acting role was playing a small part on the TV show Frenchman's Creek in 1998. She followed that up with a role in the film adaptation of Jane Austen's Mansfield Park (1999) and in the kid's flick The Little Vampire (2000). She also made a brief appearance in the TV show Dirty Tricks that same year.

A child actress at the age of six in her native Britain, Anna Popplewell made her feature film debut in "Mansfield Park" (1999). A string of supporting roles in U.K. film and television projects followed, including the all-star miniseries "Love in a Cold Climate" (2003) and the feature "Girl with a Pearl Earring" (2003). In 2004, she was cast as the sensible Susan Pevensie in Disney's film version of the classic C.S. Lewis fantasy, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" (2005). The film's Oscar and box office success necessitated sequels, with Popplewell returning to play Susan in "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" (2008) and "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" (2010). Though her early career was dominated by the "Narnia" films, there was no doubt that the young actress had a long and fruitful career ahead of her.

Anna Paquin Biography

NAME: Anna Helene Paquin
OCCUPATION: Film Actress, Television Actress
BIRTH DATE: July 24, 1982 (Age: 29)
EDUCATION: Wellington Girls' College, Windward School, Los Angeles, Columbia University
PLACE OF BIRTH: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Actress. Born Anna Helene Paquin on July 24, 1982, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, the youngest of three children. The daughter of educators, Paquin was studious and academically minded, showing an early interest in sports and music (she played cello and piano). In 1986, Paquin relocated to her parents' native country of New Zealand with her family, and led a typical middle-class childhood. But life changed for Anna at the age of 11, when she attended a movie audition with her older sister, Kate. Anna, whose only acting experience came from a performance as a skunk in a school play, went with her sister to the audition on a whim. The director was immediately taken with Anna, and selected her for a co-starring role in the art house film The Piano, also starring Holly Hunter and Harvey Keitel.

In 2001, Anna became a citizen of New Zealand officially. Her more recent movie roles include parts in Rogue, X-Men and X2. Anna made her debut on the stage in 2001 in the production of The Glory of Living. For her performance in this play, she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award and won a Theatre World Award. In 2002, Anna appeared in the West End (London) production of This is Our Youth.

It was unclear which fact was more extraordinary about Anna Paquin - that she won an Academy Award at age 11 for her performance in "The Piano" (1993), or after her win, that she had no plans to continue acting. Movieg rs were thankful for her later change of heart, as the Canadian actress continued to give thoughtful, complex and occasionally seductive turns as an adult in a wide variety of projects ranging from big-budget blockbusters like the "X-Men" franchise to independent fare like Noah Bambauch's "The Squid and the Whale" (2005). But it was her foray onto the small screen that allowed for her most compelling performances, particularly as a 19th-century schoolteacher who campaigns for Native American rights in the Emmy-winning miniseries, "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" (HBO, 2007), for which she received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Paquin also shined in her first regular series television role, playing barmaid and telepath Sookie Stackhouse on Alan Ball's acclaimed "True Blood" (HBO, 2008- ), which only added to an already impressive career for the young actress.

Anna Friel Biography

Birth Name : Anna Louise Friel
Birth Place: Rochdale, Lancashire, England
Date of Birth / Zodiac Sign: 07/12/1976, Cancer
Height : 5' 2" (1.57 m)
Profession: Actress

Anna Louise Friel was born on July 12, 1976, in Rochdale, Lancashire. The daughter of two teachers, Anna was bitten by the acting bug at an extremely early age and found herself on the receiving end of accolades and kudos for her work at a variety of local talent shows.

When she was 13, Anna booked her first paying gig -- a role on a prestigious miniseries entitled G.B.H., opposite Monty Python's Michael Palin. This led to a series of appearances on various British television shows, including Emmerdale Farm and Medics, and it wasn't long before Anna found herself added to the cast of the long-running soap Brookside.

British TV, film, and stage actress Anna Friel first became a household name as a teenager on the serial "Brookside" (Channel 4, 1982-2003), where she enjoyed a high-profile role playing British TV's first lesbian character. She went on to appear in supporting roles in British and American film productions, including the star-studded "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (1999) and "Rogue Trader" (1999) opposite Ewan McGregor, before making the leap to American series television in the courtroom drama "The Jury" (2004). However it was the debut of ABC's quirky dramedy "Pushing Daisies" (ABC, 2007-09) in the fall of 2007 that truly brought Friel international renown, earning her a Golden Globe nomination for her leading role in the season's critical fave.

Friel returned to Great Britain for her next pair of features, beginning with "Angel Makers" (2010), in which she starred as one of a farming community of World War I wives who task German POWs with replacing their husbands during wartime. In "London Boulevard" (2010), Friel appeared alongside Colin Farrell and Keira Knightley in the story of an ex-con struggling to distance himself from a violent past.

Anna Faris Biography

Name: Anna Kay Faris
Date of Birth : November 29, 1976
Birth Place : Baltimore, Maryland
Famous as : Actress, singer

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on November 29, 1976, Anna Kay Faris wasted no time immersing herself in stage work, as she got her first job at age 9 at the Seattle Repertory Theatre. As she was settled in the Northwest from a young age, Faris' natural choice for higher education was the University of Washington, where she studied English.

Faris was raised in Seattle and studied English Literature at the University of Washington after high school, later moving to London to begin working and writing. Longing to return to her childhood love of acting, Faris took a role in the run-of-the-mill teen slasher pic Lover's Lane (1999). Making the move to Los Angeles in order to pursue an acting career full time, Faris' previous improvisational experiences would soon come in handy as she landed her breakthrough role in the popular Scream-slanted spoof of teen slasher pics, Scary Movie.

Seemingly coming out of nowhere, actress Anna Faris made a name for herself in broad comedies, starting with the horror spoof-within-a-spoof "Scary Movie" (2000) - itself a send-up of other horror parodies like "Scream" (1996) and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (1997). Faris made an immediate impact, which led to several sequels atop other studio comedies like "The Hot Chick" (2003), though she wisely began to break away, following a surprisingly memorable turn in the acclaimed indie "Lost in Translation" (2003). Her small,
but potently comedic performance as a ditzy actress opened the doors to other more varied projects, including the romantic comedy "Just Friends" (2005) and the Oscar-winning drama, "Brokeback Mountain" (2005). But broad comedy remained her bread and butter - though sometimes to her detriment, particularly with her fourth go-round in "Scary Movie 4" (2006). By the time she starred opposite Seth Rogen in the raunchy "Observe and Report" (2009), Faris had established herself as the go-to actress for Hollywood comedies.

In 2005 she had Anka's son Ethan. In 2008 they married and in 2010 they divorced.
Anka made a brief appearance in the American film Dumb and Dumber, credited as Anna Åberg. She had two lines, both in Swedish: Hej allihopa ("Hi everyone") and Hej då ("Bye"). She has also played minor roles in the films The Specialist and Drop Zone. Anka has released a workout/training book called The 30-minute pregnancy workout book.

On September 16, 2009, Anka was interviewed on Swedish news site, Newsmill, in an article called "Jag vill bli en förebild för svenska kvinnor" ("I want to be a role model for Swedish women"). The article described Swedish fathers as "tragic with their diaper changes and their equality" and Swedish women in general as shabby, petty, unintelligent and having lost touch with their natural femininity. A resounding appeal was made for the choice of a housewife lifestyle like Anka's own, and she affirmed her wish to become the role model that Sweden needed. In reality, as was soon found out and acknowledged by the publishers, the piece had been ghost-written by site editors after a phone talk with Anka in order to increase attention. The article received more than 100 000 hits, a first for Newsmill, and several responses, among others Nalin Pekgul.
