Alison Brie was born Alison Brie Schermerhorn on the 29th December 1983 in Pasadena, California. She is best known for her role Annie in the NBC comedy, Community and later on, Trudy Campbell in the TV series Mad Men. Alison began her acting career while she was still a child, taking up whatever opportunity she could lay her hands on in the Jewish Community Center in Southern California.

After Brie graduated from South Pasadena High School in 2001, she studied at the California Institute of the Arts, where she received a bachelors degree in drama. While pursuing her degree, Brie also attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland.

In 2005, she graduated from the California Institute of the Arts. She then actively pursued a career in acting but it was not all smooth sailing for the young actress. Before she landed any acting jobs, she work as clowns at birthday parties and performed theatre even if it is free to polish her acting skills.

In 2006, Alison landed a minor television role as Nina on the Hannah Montana show. Later on in 2007.

After college, she continued to stage act while simultaneously going after TV and film roles. In 2006, she guest starred as a novice hairdresser on the popular Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana" (2006-2010), one of the network's highest-rated shows about a teenage girl (Miley Cyrus) who lives a double life as both an average high school student and a famous pop singer. For her next project, Brie starred on "My Alibi" (ABC Family, 2008-09), based on the popular Web series that followed a group of high school kids who pull a large prank during first period and are locked up in one room until someone in the group confesses.
