Irina Lazareanu was born June 8, 1982, in Transylvania, Romania, but emigrated with her family at age 5 to Canada where she was raised in a Montreal suburb. Ines Sastre was born the 21st of November 1973, in Valladolid, Spain. Her film career all started when a 12-year-old Ines went to audition for a fast-food commercial with a friend of hers. She was cast in the commercial, which led to her film debut. It was hard not to notice the hazel-eyed brunette, and director Carlos Saura sure took notice. He knew she'd be perfect for the role of Elvira in the 1987 film, El Dorado.
