Name :Diane Farr
Birth Place: New York, NY
Date of Birth / Zodiac Sign: 09/07/1971, Virgo
Profession: Actress; writer; model
Tough but sexy, Farr has spent most of her career in the company of men. She provided a woman's perspective on MTV's relationship chatfest Loveline before making the leap to acting with recurring roles on The Drew Carey Show and Roswell. Farr got her big break in a pair of Denis Leary series: as the lone girl detective on the short-lived dramedy The Job and as the sole female firefighter on Rescue Me. Although the latter was a hit, Farr traded flames for gunfire as the only female FBI agent on NUMB3RS. After three seasons, Farr moved on from the CBS hit and began a multi-episode arc on Californication. She also enjoys a career as a writer and entrepreneur. In addition to contributing articles to a number of magazines, she published her first novel, The Girl Code: The Secret Language of Single Women, in 2001. The good-natured guy's gal also turned a potentially devastating breakup with her ex-fiancé into a business, launching a comedic card company after sending out a homemade card stating that she was single again. Farr's offscreen talents extend far beyond written mediums, however: She's also a yoga instructor, a general contractor and a snowboarder.
In 2001, Diane Farr wrote a book entitled The Girl Code, which takes a comic look on the lives of single women in the 21st century. It was released on Valentine’s Day of 2001 and has been sold in more than seven countries and translated into 5 languages. She is currently working on her second book, and is a constant contributor to various magazines such as Jane, Glamour, Maxim, Esquire and Cosmopolitan.
Diane Farr is the owner of the greeting card company OtherAnnouncements.com, which spawned out after she found herself in need of another card when her fiancé called off their wedding a few weeks after the wedding invitations were sent to their supposed guests.
In June 2006, Diane Farr married Seung Yong Chung, an entertainment marketing executive at Rainbow Tarns, a private lodge in Mammoth Lakes, California. Because of their physical differences, critics and tabloids often described them as an ‘odd pair’. In March 2007, Diane Farr gave birth to their first child, Beckett Mancuso Chung, in Los Angeles, California. She has as well a brother named Billy, who is an actor and director based in Los Angeles.
