It’s a little shocking that one of TV’s most promising pieces of eye candy was homeschooled in a small town outside of Atlanta and has a pastor for a father. An upbringing like that usually leads to a life of Leave It To Beaver-esque domestic bliss. But AnnaLynne McCord has always walked her own path.
Her first taste of acting came at age nine, when she won a part with her community theater. She loved the spotlight and was a natural on stage. So much so, in fact, that AnnaLynne won her local “Actors, Models and Talent Competition” at 15. First prize was a modeling contract in Miami. Sounds like a tough gig.
She made her screen acting debut at about the same time in the independent horror film The Middle of Nowhere (2002), which, though it was never released to theaters, played at film festivals. A few years later she played a small role in the box office hit Transporter 2 (2005), then began landing guest appearances on popular series such as The O.C., Ugly Betty, Cold Case, Greek and CSI: Miami.
McCord currently stars as Naomi Clark in the CW drama 90210. Well-known for her role as the scandalous and deviant Eden Lord in the award-winning drama Nip/Tuck, McCord has made the transition to the big screen with lead roles in major motion pictures such as The Haunting of Molly Hartley (2008) and Fired Up (2009).
